Simply arrive, unwind and experience the special atmosphere of a historic building. The Berghaus Urnerstaffel reopened in June 2026. After being closed for almost two years, new life is now returning to the old walls of the Urnerstaffel. Here, simplicity is valued – and that is precisely what this accommodation stands for. The former military barracks have been carefully refurbished for guests. The building’s original, unpretentious character has been preserved, creating a special, cosy atmosphere. Guests can expect simple and cosy rooms. There are 100 beds available. The toilets and showers are located outside the rooms on the respective floors. The Berghaus Urnerstaffel is the perfect place for anyone looking for uncomplicated accommodation with character who appreciates the essentials. It is ideally suited for camps, groups of friends, families, corporate events, functions and any mountain lover.

by bus to Oberrickenbach, Talstat. LFCH (The bus stop is situated directly below the "Fell-Chrüzhütte cable car".)

Not accessible by car (Take the cable car to the Fell-Chrüzhütte valley station. Free parking is available there. The blue ‘Fell-Chrüzhütte’ cable car takes you up to the Bannalp in 8 minutes. After a pleasant 15-minute walk, you’ll reach the house.)
