After more than 100 years of industrial operation, the 12,700 m² factory site in the Gundeldinger district has been gradually transformed into a vibrant hub for leisure, culture and business.

The BaselBackPack backpackers’ hostel is just a few minutes’ walk from Basel SBB railway station and is the ideal base for group trips to the cultural city of Basel. This modern accommodation can accommodate up to 86 people and is ideal for school groups, clubs, tour groups and families. Depending on your preference, you can choose to self-cater or book breakfast, half-board or full board. Spacious communal areas, a terrace, Wi-Fi and accessible facilities ensure a pleasant stay. Museums, the historic old town and the banks of the Rhine are easily accessible by tram or on foot.
