The house is about 180 metres from the Rigi Klösterli railway station, from where trains run directly to Kulm and Staffel for sledging and winter hiking, and to Staffel directly to the ski slopes.
The ski lifts are 350 metres from the house. The return journey is possible with sledges and skis directly to the house.
The Rigi is a varied ski area with 9 km of pistes (some with artificial snow), 7 cable cars, 10 km of sledding trails, 14 km of cross-country ski trails, 35 km of mostly groomed winter hiking trails, 5 km of snowshoe trails, as well as other facilities such as children's lands, an ice skating rink and a thermal bath.
